Atlas NextWave are currently recruiting an experienced Storekeeper 2 to join our client's Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel operating in the UK.
This is a 5-week assignment commencing 19th August.
Please note: As the vessel will be operating within 12 nautical miles (NM) of the UK, successful candidates must either be a UK national or hold a valid Frontier Worker Permit.
The Role
As Storekeeper 2, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Deck Material Store during your shift. This includes the receipt, storage, inspection, maintenance and issue of tools, equipment, consumables and materials, ensuring that all items are maintained, certified and readily available to support safe and efficient offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Deck Material Store, including the receipt, storage and issue of tools, equipment, materials and consumables.
• Ensure full traceability of all materials held in the store.
• Inspect all equipment before issue to ensure it is fit for purpose, correctly certified and within inspection validity.
• Remove defective, damaged or uncertified tools, rigging and personal fall protection equipment from service.
• Advise personnel on the correct use of tools and equipment.
• Assist with the receipt, checking and unpacking of deliveries.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the store and surrounding work areas.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's Safety Management System (SMS), procedures and policies.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, adhering to PPE requirements and Incident & Injury Free (IIF) principles.
• Stop or report any unsafe conditions or activities where necessary.
• Carry out all duties in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must hold:
• Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS
• Valid OGUK Medical
• Previous offshore experience in a Storekeeper role
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A strong commitment to safety and quality
