About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Static Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join our team on a prestigious hospital site in Harrow.
This is a site-based role working across a large and varied healthcare environment, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs on a wide range of air conditioning and ventilation equipment. The site consists of over 1,000 split systems and 150 AHUs, providing excellent variety and long-term stability.
Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on air conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake reactive repair works.
• Service and maintain split, multi-split, VRV and VRF systems.
• Carry out pressure testing and leak investigations.
• Replace and repair components including coils, pumps, motors and associated equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance of air handling units (AHUs).
• Complete maintenance reports and job records using company-issued devices.
• Liaise with site management and hospital personnel to ensure works are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site and company procedures.
Requirements
• Proven experience within the air conditioning service and maintenance sector.
• Strong knowledge of split systems, VRV and VRF equipment.
• Experience carrying out both PPMs and reactive repairs.
• F-Gas qualification.
• Experience working within healthcare environments is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience working on Daikin and Mitsubishi systems is desirable.
Package & Benefits
• Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
• Static site role based in Harrow.
• Flexible working hours.
• No mandatory call-out rota.
• Overtime available:
• Saturdays paid at 1.5x rate.
• Sundays paid at 2x rate.
• Company phone and tablet provided.
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Annual leave increases with length of service up to 25 days plus bank holidays.
• HTM03 training available for engineers looking to develop their healthcare compliance knowledge.
• Excellent overtime opportunities through out-of-hours hospital maintenance works.
Working Hours
This position offers flexible working hours; however, occasional weekend and unsociable hours will be required to support planned maintenance activities and operational requirements within the hospital environment.
