You’ll be part of a skilled team supporting test, staging, and repair operations for leading network and telecoms hardware providers, including Cisco and Fortinet . 🔧 Role Overview: This is a hands-on lab-based role within a Test and Repair Lab , ideal for an experienced Telecoms or IT Field Engineer who’s ready to work in a structured, supportive environment. You’ll work alongside a colleague who focuses on staging and configuration, while your responsibilities will span hardware staging, configuration, fault diagnosis, and repair for telecoms devices including routers, switches, and APs. 📋 Key Responsibilities: Staging and configuring Cisco and Fortinet routers, switches, and access points Diagnosing and repairing equipment returned from the field Troubleshooting hardware faults and applying fixes Maintaining accurate updates in the customer system for installations and repairs Collaborating with other departments and providing technical guidance Recording job data for month-end invoicing Ensuring compliance with health & safety in a warehouse/lab environment Taking care of test tools and lab equipment 🎯 Key Objectives: Meet customer SLAs and turnaround times for staging and repair Ensure documentation and system updates are completed accurately and promptly Deliver excellent technical standards and customer service Provide clear data for invoicing and audit trail ✅ Required Skills & Experience: Essential: Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet routers, switches, and APs Knowledge of telecoms or IT infrastructure equipment Comfortable working independently and in a small technical team Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Fluent in English Desirable: Field Engineer background (customer installs, maintenance) Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA) or other vendor accreditations Experience working in technical lab or repair environments 🌟 What’s On Offer: Competitive day rate : €275 – €350 per day (depending on experience & certification) Friendly, skilled team environment Ongoing training and cross-training on products Technically varied and stable role in a modern lab setting Opportunity to grow within a company that invests in its people 📍 Additional Information: On-site role in Rotterdam area (ideally you’re based locally) Travel expenses may be covered if applicable Dutch language is a plus, but not essential A personalised and efficient recruitment service within the IT Industry
