Position Summary... We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Java Back End) with over 10 years of experience to champion the technical direction, scaling, and resilience of our core distributed systems. In this role, you will act as a technical leader, driving product development end-to-end and single-handedly spearheading high-scale re-architecture initiatives. Leveraging deep expertise in Java, caching, messaging queues, failover, and disaster recovery, you will deliver mission-critical microservices. Additionally, you will combine a strong product mindset with excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and guide a talented team of engineers. What you'll do... About Team We are eligibility team. We calculate eligibility of an item in a fulfilment centre/store, Cash back , rewards, substitution, Compliance and Geo restriction. What you will do Drive the design, development, and deployment of high-performance, scalable, and resilient back-end services. Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from initial design and prototyping to production deployment and monitoring. Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the stability and availability of our critical systems. What you will bring Professional experience in back-end development with a strong command of Java. Deep expertise in designing and building distributed systems at high scale. Proven experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), distributed caching (e.g., Redis, Memcached), and designing robust failover and disaster recovery strategies. Extensive exposure to microservices architecture and cloud-native principles. A strong product mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and influence technical leaders.
