SingleStore is a cloud-native real-time data platform company. This Staff Software Engineer role involves designing and delivering core capabilities at the intersection of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and database technology, with end-to-end ownership of large, release-defining projects and technical leadership across the organization. What You'll Do • Build observable microservice-oriented applications that empower engineers to develop and test applications in a multi-cloud environment • Design and implement novel technical solutions that increase engineering productivity throughout the company • Improve CI/CD throughput, debugging and triage operations, and workload execution runtimes for a global engineering workforce • Set technical direction and solve complex system-level problems across distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure • Mentor other engineers while remaining hands-on with technical implementation What You Need • 8+ years of experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Python, C/C++, JavaScript, or Go • Deep interest and experience working on distributed systems, databases, networking, storage, and multi-tenant services in Unix/Linux environments • Experience with containers and Kubernetes-based applications running in public cloud or on-premises data centers • Comprehension of GitOps and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Experience with SQL-based databases • Strong software testing expertise and passion for quality engineering • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent working experience Salary based on skills, experience, and geographic location; total compensation includes merit increases and annual bonuses
