Description
Make is the platform to manage all your automations and AI agents in one visual landscape – for teams driving business impact without relying on developers. Part of Celonis, a global leader in process intelligence recognized on the Forbes Cloud 100 for seven consecutive years, we're headquartered in Prague, Czechia, with hubs in Madrid, Munich, Raleigh, and Pristina, and teams across the UK, France, India, and the Netherlands, among other locations. About the role
Make is entering its most ambitious chapter — AI, agents, and entirely new product bets. We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to be the creative and visual force behind that work: someone who starts from a blank canvas, explores boldly, and turns open-ended, ambiguous problems into concrete, shippable product direction — always grounded in a real understanding of our users. This is a hands-on, senior IC role for a designer with exceptional craft who wants to shape what Make becomes and raise everyone's bar by the work they put into the world.
What you'll do
Drive the visual and experiential direction of Make's most ambitious, net-new AI and agent initiatives — from first concept to shipped, polished product
Shape how Make's AI actually feels to use — designing the interaction patterns for things like agent behavior, steerability, and trust that don't have established conventions yet
Rapidly explore and prototype bold ideas; turn vague, open-ended problems into clear, testable directions others can rally around
Ground that boldness in real user needs — champion user-centric thinking, draw on and help shape user research, and keep the user at the center of ambitious bets
Turn both qualitative and quantitative data into insights that drive genuine innovation, not just validation
Set a high bar for craft, visual quality, motion, and polish on everything you touch — and lift the people around you by example
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX writers, researchers, and the teams building Make's AI capabilities: make your thinking visible early, bring people along, and land decisions through strong collaboration and stakeholder management
Contribute personally and hands-on, from concept through pixel-level refinement
Spot opportunities for genuinely bold creative direction — beyond incremental improvement
What we're looking for
Exceptional craft, visual taste, and attention to detail — a portfolio that is visually outstanding
A designer who does their best work in ambiguity and open-ended, exploratory problems, and is energized by starting from nothing
Strong at rapid prototyping and concept development; fluent moving between strategy, concept, and pixel-level polish
Genuinely user-centric — designs from real user needs and evidence, not aesthetics alone; comfortable planning, running, and drawing on user research
Fluent with both qualitative and quantitative data; turns evidence into insight and clear product direction
A clear point of view on how design should evolve in AI-first products, and experience researching, prototyping, or building with AI to uncover new interaction and collaboration patterns
Ability to define and scale visual systems across complex interfaces
Experience with — or a genuine understanding of — the automation / workflow-automation space (or closely adjacent technical and developer tooling)
Experience designing canvas-based or builder tools, or other software made for professionals — not only consumer apps
Excellent communication and stakeholder management — you make work visible, bring people with you, and are influential across teams (a strong team-player, not a solo operator working in a corner)
Collaborates naturally with researchers and UX writers, and inspires the designers around you without needing to manage them
7+ years of product design experience, with real depth as a senior individual contributor
Experience designing complex SaaS
