Newsweek Recognizes Sedgwick as America’s Greatest Workplaces National Top Companies Certified as a Great Place to Work® Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance Staff Accountant - Revenue PRIMARY PURPOSE : To ensure accuracy of financial data; to maintain and analyze data; to prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries and general ledger (GL) account reconciliation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES • Reconciles sub-ledgers to GL; prepares monthly journal entries and GL accounts. • Assists in month-end close and consolidation process, financial report and audit process. • Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as directed. • Maintains and analyzes balance sheet accounts and ensures they are accurately stated; conducts timely account reconciliations. • Performs client audits and reporting. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs other duties as assigned. • Supports the organization's quality program(s). QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university or equivalent preferred. Accounting courses preferred. Experience Four (4) years accounting and/or financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Skills & Knowledge • Strong oral and written communication skills • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge • Analytical and interpretive skills • Good detail orientation • Strong organizational skills • Good interpersonal skills • Ability to prioritize and multi task • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies WORK ENVIRONMENT When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
