Description
The Staff Accountant role is a vital role on the Finance Team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. This role is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance. Key Responsibilities • General Ledger Maintenance: • Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger • Ensure the accuracy of the accounting data and make necessary corrections as required • Financial Reporting and Reconciliations: • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports • Create variance reports to analyze income/expenses ensuring accurate reporting • Reconcile balance sheet accounts • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts • Other Duties: • Assist with financial and tax audits • Continuous review and improvements of processes and procedures • Special projects as assigned • Collaborate with Central and Campus teams to streamline processes and ensure information is timely and accurate Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment • Advanced excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups • Strong understanding of accounting principles • Ability to learn new systems & processes quickly Character & Chemistry • A passion for reaching the lost • Personal integrity in all areas of life • Must be, or willing to become a participating member of CCV • Consistently attends worship services with their family • Is an active participant in a neighborhood group and is a consistent tither.
