The Staff Accountant will  perform many aspects of accounting and finance functions including bank and account reconciliations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, audits and other tasks and projects as assigned by management What you’ll get to do: Manage assigned accounting responsibilities daily Perform daily bank reconciliations  Create and enter journal entries into our accounting platform, complete account reconciliations, and manage select ledger accounts across multiple entities  Analyze general ledger transactions and accounts, using technical judgment, to ensure that financial transactions are recorded  Assist the team with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close  Prepare information for and assist with financial audits and reviews  Help develop internal processes to improve the financial reporting process  Keep and maintain organized records  Perform other accounting, financial, and administrative office responsibilities  Gain quickly a familiarity and working knowledge of our general ledger systems  Work with other departments to determine workflows and resolve issues  Assist Accounting Lead and Accounting Manager with monthly close process Ad-hoc financial analysis including potential for inter-departmental and vendor related projects Work Independently and Collaboratively What you will bring to the team: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting/financial reporting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.  Working knowledge of GAAP accounting, PCAOB, and SOX standards Proficient in Excel, including vlookups, SumIF, IFAND, and pivot tables  Experience with Sage Intacct and FloQast  Excellent Communication Skills and Teamwork mindset Demonstrate and maintain a committed work ethic  Total Rewards and Benefits:  At OppFi, we are committed to fostering a fair and equitable workplace.
