The Staff Accountant position reports directly to the Controller and requires skills in financial accounting, reporting, audit, and compliance. The position also requires strong accounting aptitude, ability to work independently on varied assignments, have well developed interpersonal skills, and be able to problem solve in a diverse environment. Essential Responsibilities: • Aid in day to day of accounting functions including, but not limited to, Year-end / Month-end close process, balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L report generation • Ownership of the accounts payable process, including recording and reconciliation of the company credit card transactions • Prepare monthly payroll reporting for our UK employees on assignment • Posting and reconciliation of client payment receipts • Assist in bi-monthly payroll process • Assist in preparation of external audit requirements and tax filings • Assist in the company’s quarterly reforecasting and annual budgetary processes • Ad hoc projects Essential Education and Experience: • Accounting or Finance degree required • 1-3 years related business experience • Advanced Excel skills required (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs etc) • Travel industry experience a plus • Public accounting experience a plus Essential Skills and Competencies: • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills • Strong team player that works positively with colleagues • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines • Ability to work under pressure and go the extra-mile to get the job done • Able to adopt a flexible, hands-on approach in relation to strategic issues All employees enjoy a wide range of benefits including 100% medical and dental insurance, and a 401k plan (with a match!).
