For more info, please refer to https://lakshyadigital.com/   About the Role: Lakshya Digital is seeking a talented and experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our visual effects team. As the Senior VFX Artist, you will work closely with the Lakshya’s production team to create exceptional real-time effects for a diverse range of titles and genres for our clients. You will be expected to not only work independently but to also support the Lead VFX Artist in ensuring that projects get delivered on time and as per clients’ briefs. Requirements 1.       Solid understanding of real-time physics, fluid, and particle systems (e.g., Houdini, EmberGen, FumeFX). 2.       Proven experience with industry-standard tools for creating real-time VFX, including: Game Engines: Unreal Engine (Niagara, Cascade), Unity (Shuriken, VFX Graph). 3D & Simulation: Houdini, Maya, Blender. 2D & Texturing: Photoshop, After Effects, Substance Designer/Painter, Krita. Additional: EmberGen, SpeedTree, proprietary or middleware tools. 3.       Strong knowledge of shader creation and optimization (HLSL, Shader Graph, Unreal Material Editor). 4.       A minimum of 3+ years creating real-time VFX for video games, with at least one shipped AAA title. 5.       Ability to balance artistry with performance constraints and technical requirements. 6.       Must be results-oriented and self-driven, ensuring client needs are prioritized. 7.       Previous experience in outsourcing/services workflows and/or managing overseas artists is a plus. 8.       Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (spoken and written). Responsibilities Create and/or supervise the creation of performant, high-quality, in-engine VFX in both standard and proprietary engines. Develop real-time effects such as explosions, fire, smoke, magic, weather, environmental, and destruction sequences. Collaborate with other artists, technical teams, and clients across various projects. Mentor and guide junior VFX artists, providing feedback and support to raise team quality. Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal best practices for all deliverables. Work with Project Managers and Leads to define asset lists, schedules, and budgets. Partner with the Lead VFX Artist to develop and document technical specifications, pipelines, and workflows.
