Clarity Innovations is a national security-focused software and data engineering company serving the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. This role is a senior on-site technical leader responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining Proxmox-based virtualization infrastructure and Kubernetes control planes within a secure, classified environment. What You'll Do • Maintain, update, and optimize on-site Proxmox VE hypervisor environments, Ceph distributed storage clusters, and underlying server hardware • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware failures, kernel panics, network partitions, virtualization bottlenecks, Kubernetes issues, and node pressure conditions in isolated classified spaces • Deploy automated system updates, patch air-gapped systems, and integrate new physical compute or storage nodes into the local cluster environment • Serve as the primary technical representative for the program, managing interactions with site stakeholders, mission owners, and local administrators • Conduct technical training, operational walkthroughs, and compliance briefings for customer personnel; enforce security benchmarks and support configuration control reviews What You Need • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Linux environments and bare-metal hardware infrastructure in secure environments • Strong, demonstrable experience configuring and troubleshooting Proxmox VE, KVM, QEMU, or equivalent enterprise virtualization technologies • Practical experience with Ceph storage orchestration, software-defined networking, VLAN tagging, and low-level Linux network troubleshooting • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills with proven track record managing technical relationships with government or military personnel Nice to Have • Hands-on experience managing incident response lifecycles and resolving critical control-plane or etcd failures in live, high-scale production systems • Advanced capability in utilizing telemetry, API server audit logs, distributed tracing, and metrics to perform root-cause analysis in production environments • Experience with Kubernetes deployment and management in classified or air-gapped environments • Crossplane and Cluster API (CAPI) experience $100,000–$330,000 annually
