Description
Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing
Rubrik is seeking a strategic and analytical Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and support our rapid growth objectives. This role is designed for a world-class problem solver who is energized by ambiguity. You will be tasked with taking complex, open-ended projects from the Chief of Staff, Strategic Marketing—making sense of them, identifying the core challenges, and building the operational action plans to solve them.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing strategy, data analytics, and team leadership, with a specific obsession for building scalable solutions in "white-space" environments. If you are an investigator who thrives when given a problem without a clear roadmap, this role is for you.
What you’ll be doing:
Marketing Strategy & Discovery:
Analysis & Insights: Analyze KPIs and business performance to identify key challenges and opportunities for growth. You won't just report on data; you will investigate it to find "the story" and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Solution Design: Develop innovative, scalable solutions to drive business performance. You will be given open-ended strategic goals and be expected to design the framework and execution plan from scratch.
Strategic Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies aligned with Rubrik’s business objectives. You will own the creation of high-stakes strategic narratives and decks for Marketing Leadership and Global All-Hands.
AI Innovation: Driving and partnering on strategic projects across marketing efforts to implement generative AI capabilities. You will be responsible for investigating tool adoption, auditing the quality of AI-generated outputs (such as SDR communications), and ensuring technology effectively serves our brand and efficiency goals.
Analytics & Pipeline Investigation:
The Pipeline Efficiency Task Force: Run the Pipeline Efficiency function. You will lead a cross-functional group to identify where we can gain more pipeline through innovation or optimization and make the hard calls on which programs to scale, cut, or pivot.
Advanced Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics to inform strategic decisions. Have command of the funnel and key metrics and reports.
Data-Driven Approaches: Implement data-driven approaches for campaign analysis, customer segmentation, and predictive models.
Project Management & Team Excellence:
Autonomous PMO: Ability to effectively manage strategic initiatives across teams and seniority.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes to enhance efficiency, taking messy cross-functional workflows and turning them into streamlined engines.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, investigative rigor, and excellence.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, analytics, and team leadership within a high-growth SaaS environment or strategy consulting.
The "Sense-Maker": You are comfortable with "white space." You have a proven ability to take an open-ended request, conduct the necessary investigation, and return with a concrete plan of action.
Investigative Mindset: You naturally look beneath the surface of a report. You ask the "second and third-order" questions that lead to breakthroughs.
Data-Minded: Fluency with analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Excel) and the ability to drive change through data-backed arguments.
Strong Communicator: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Desired Attributes:
Proactive Problem Solver: A passion for
