Position Overview     The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving Body in White (BIW) automated manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. This role supports equipment uptime through preventive and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong expertise in automotive OEM equipment, PLCs, electrical systems, pneumatics, robotics, and BIW automation.   Key Responsibilities •    Lead advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of automated manufacturing systems, including robots, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and Body in White (BIW) process equipment  •    Serve as the technical escalation point for complex automation, controls, robotics, and system integration issues  •    Perform hands on diagnostics, maintenance, and technical support for PLC based control systems  •    Troubleshoot PLC hardware and PLC software, including fault analysis and system recovery  •    Perform PLC programming, logic modifications, backups, and online monitoring  •    Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs and motor control systems  •    Understand and troubleshoot industrial network architecture, including diagnostics, addressing, and network topology  •    Diagnose and resolve communication faults between PLCs, robots, weld controllers, drives, HMIs, safety devices, and field I/O  •    Perform PLC to Robot communication, including signal handshaking, fault feedback, and cycle control  •    Implement and support PLC and Robot interfaces, including I/O mapping, safety interlocks, sequencing, and production status signals  •    Perform PLC to weld controller integration, including weld enable signals, fault feedback, process feedback, and alarms  •    Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot robots and integrated robotic cells across Body in White, Paint, and Assembly areas  •    Demonstrate advanced knowledge of pneumatic systems, including cylinder and valve operation, applications, and rebuilding  •    Establish, schedule, execute, and document preventive maintenance (PM) activities  •    Work closely with maintenance planners to effectively utilize and improve the CMMS system  •    Ensure effective spare parts inventory management and lead time control for automation equipment  •    Lead commissioning, startup, and integration of new or modified automation systems into existing PLC, robot, and weld control architectures  •    Direct and coordinate contractors and vendors in a safe, efficie
