University of Houston is hiring a Sr. Director- Gift & Estate Planning. This role leads and manages a comprehensive development and alumni relations program for an assigned college, overseeing fundraising initiatives such as major gifts, planned giving, and stewardship, while collaborating with key stakeholders to align efforts with the college’s strategic priorities. Highlights • Lead integrated development and alumni relations program including budget management and staff supervision. • Develop and implement fundraising strategies for annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation support. • Collaborate with college dean to set fundraising goals and communicate case for support based on priorities. • Manage a personal portfolio of major and principal gift donor prospects, cultivating and soliciting donations. • Provide expertise in deferred and complex gift planning, coordinating with finance, legal, and advancement teams. • Implement alumni relations strategies to increase engagement within the college and university. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gift planning methods and serve as a subject matter expert. • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 5-7 years of professional fundraising or related experience. • Strong relationship-building skills with donors, senior leaders, volunteers, and external community members. • Compensation is commensurate with experience and education.
