Description
Connexus is staffing a Senior Contract Specialist / Program Manager to lead dedicated acquisition support services to a federal civilian agency's Office of Acquisition Services. This is a key leadership role with full decision-making authority for contract performance, overseeing a team of contract specialists delivering core acquisition support across the acquisition lifecycle. The position is on-site in Atlanta, GA and is contingent on contract award (anticipated period of performance: one base year plus option years). Responsibilities: • Serve as the single point of accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction across all task areas. • Lead and supervise a team of contract specialists; manage uneven/seasonal workload distribution and surge staffing. • Provide corrective action plans, timely issue identification, and management of subcontractors as applicable. • Serve as the primary interface with the government Contracting Officer and COR, ensuring professional and ethical conduct of all contractor personnel. • Complete required agency role-based security training and maintain Public Trust suitability. Required qualifications: • Bachelor's degree. • At least seven (7) years of experience in program management, contracting, acquisition planning, or a combination of the three. • Current or previous FAC-C certification for a minimum of five (5) years (or civilian equivalent) required. • U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation. • Able to work on-site in Atlanta, GA. Preferred: Previous ICE (Integrated Contracts Expert) experience; PMP certification.
