KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Associate II, Master Data Governance & Management is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, completeness, and governance of commercial master data within the IRIS SAP environment. The role serves as the primary point of contact for commercial affiliates regarding the creation, activation, maintenance, and stewardship of SAP material master data while ensuring compliance with Global Data Management (GDM) standards, policies, and governance requirements.
The position works closely with the Global Data Manager, Regional Data Stewards, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and other business stakeholders to support business operations, resolve master data issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data quality and operational effectiveness.
Additionally, the Sr. Associate II, Master Data Governance & Management supports governance and compliance activities, data quality monitoring, audit requirements, and process standardization efforts to ensure reliable and accurate master data that supports critical commercial and supply chain processes.
Service Deliveries
• Create, maintain, and update local material master records in SAP IRIS to support commercial business operations.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and validation of local data attributes for global materials.
• Review, analyze, and process material master creation, extension, activation, and change requests in accordance with established procedures and service level expectations.
• Ensure all material master data adheres to Global Data Management standards, data governance policies, and approved business rules.
• Provide guidance and expertise to commercial functional teams regarding material master management processes and SAP system requirements.
• Coordinate material activation activities including costing, pricing, extension approvals, and other data setup requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance master data reporting solutions, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Support data quality initiatives through analysis, cleansing, standardization, and validation activities.
• Analyze business problems and operational data from multiple sources to formulate solutions and recommendations.
• Partner with global and regional data management teams to support continuous improvement and process harmonization initiatives.
Manage Day-to-Day Activities
• Analyze and complete new material setup requests and master data change requests to support business operations.
• Monitor and validate master data quality, completeness, and accuracy across systems and databases.
• Investigate and resolve master data issues in collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
• Query and analyze large datasets from multiple systems to support ERP data validation and reporting activities.
• Support local supply chain requirements by performing timely material extensions and required system setup activities.
• Coordinate with affiliate warehouses, planners, customer service teams, and commercial stakeholders to support business continuity.
• Maintain detailed documentation and evidence for financially controlled material master attributes and related change requests.
• Perform monthly AFCM control activities in accordance with approved SOPs and internal control requirements.
• Serve as a key contact for local affiliates during material-related transactional or logistical business disruptions.
• Participate in Global Data Management meetings and communicate process updates, standards, and governance requirements to local stakeholders.
• Support implementation of new master data processes, system enhancements, and business projects impacting commercial master data.
• Represent affiliate business requirements during discussions and assessments related to global material master changes.
Compliance
• Ensure all material master processes, policies, and procedures are executed in accordance with approved SOPs and Global Data Management standards.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and auditable records for all material master creation and change activities.
• Support compliance with AFCM controls, internal control requirements, and corporate governance standards.
• Collect and maintain evidence supporting financially controlled material master attributes and change activities.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external audits related to material master processes and controls.
• Identify data quality risks, governance gaps, and process control weaknesses and support corrective actions.
• Complete all required compliance, quality, and regulatory training within established timelines.
• Promote a culture of data governance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Education
Minimum
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related discipline.
Preferred
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
• Professional certification in SAP Master Data Management, Data Governance, Lean Six Sigma, or related fields is an added advantage.
Languages
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of one or more additional regional languages is preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Master Data Management or related business functions.
• Experience working with SAP Master Data Management processes and systems.
• Experience supporting commercial, supply chain, customer service, or finance operations.
• Proven experience analyzing data and solving business problems of moderate to significant complexity.
• Experience developing reporting solutions and performing data quality analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across regional and global organizations.
• Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
