Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Fitter Location: Huntingdon, PA Schedule: Monday-Friday Where You'll Fit: DC Goodman is seeking a mid-level Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install,  modify , and  maintain  fire sprinkler systems on commercial and industrial job sites. This role suits someone with 2–5 years of hands-on experience who can work with moderate supervision, read complex system layouts, and reliably execute installations to code on large-scale projects such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and commercial buildings. What You'll Build: • Install, assemble, and fit pipe, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads for large-scale wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems per approved drawings and specifications • Cut, thread, groove, and join pipe (including larger-diameter industrial pipe) using standard fitting methods • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations for commercial/industrial systems under guidance from  a foreman  or lead fitter • Install and support overhead piping in high-bay warehouse and industrial environments, often working from lifts or at significant heights • Perform system pressure testing, flushing, and  assist  with fire marshal/AHJ inspections • Identify  and troubleshoot installation issues on complex systems, escalating design-level problems to the  foreman • Coordinate with other trades (electrical, HVAC, structural) common on commercial/industrial sites • Maintain a safe, organized job site and follow all OSHA and NFPA safety standards • Assist  in training or mentoring entry-level apprentices as needed • Accurately track materials, time, and job progress across multi-phase projects Qualifications: • 2–5 years of experience in commercial/industrial fire sprinkler installation • Working knowledge of NFPA 13 (commercial/industrial systems); familiarity with pre-action and deluge systems a plus • Ability to read blueprints and hydraulic calculations for larger, more complex systems • Proficient with hand and power tools, pipe threading/grooving machines used in industrial pipefitting • Comfortable working from scissor lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding • OSHA 10 certification  required ; OSHA 30 preferred • NICET Level I or II preferred, or actively working toward certification • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Ability to lift 50+  lbs  and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial/warehouse environments What Sets This Role Apart from Entry-Level: • Works with less direct supervision on standard commercial/industrial installs • Can independently complete sections of large-scale system  installs  without step-by-step guidance • Expected to catch basic errors before they become inspection failures • May take a lead role on smaller commercial jobs or discrete phases of larger industrial projects
