LOCATION: Du Pont SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week PAY RATE: £13.87 per hour ABM is currently recruiting for Full Time Permanent Spinning Operations Technician for an immediate start in a manufacturing based environment in Du Pont, Belfast. Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist the ABM team to provide a high-quality Cleaning service. The successful candidate will join a enthusiastic and dedicated team that drives a positive working environment whilst achieving results and taking pride in their work. The Spinning Operations Technician is responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency, safety, and cleanliness of the spinning area. This role involves a mix of technical maintenance, logistical support, and rigorous adherence to health and safety protocols. The successful candidate will ensure that production hardware is processed correctly, safety equipment is accessible, and the facility is prepared for seamless shift handovers. Key Responsibilities: Production & Technical Maintenance Hardware Processing:  Wash and process all hardware, maintaining the "Soak Time" board and completing the wash lab handover documentation. Equipment Care:  Clean meter pumps on designated modules; inspect, defluff, or replace product buggy wheels as required. Waste Management:  Action the Mix Carton Report; assemble at least 10 dry waste boxes per shift. Operational Support:  Provide immediate support to the Spin Common area if three or more machines are producing waste yarn. Facility & Logistics Inventory Control:  Ensure all PPE racks in the Spin Common area are fully stocked with complete sets. Warehouse Oversight:  Inspect the warehouse for unwrapped tubes and shrink-wrap as necessary; perform a full brush-down and reset of the warehouse for the Monday morning shift. Equipment Inspection:  Identify damaged buggies on the filter floor and initiate repairs or removal. Sanitation & Housekeeping PPE Maintenance:  Wash all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the designated downstairs washroom. Deep Cleaning:  Clean hamper enclosures, tops, pulleys, and front/back grids to remove loose yarn and debris. General Housekeeping:  Assist the Spin Common Tech with routine housekeeping and any additional duties assigned by the Chargehand. Health, Safety & Compliance Safety Maintenance:  Clean "rose" attachments on Eye Wash Stations across designated modules (Cubes 1 & 2, Mezzanine, Spinning, Mixer, and 3rd floors). Training:  Stay current with SABA and Module training; review Monthly Safety Meeting presentations. Communication:  Attend the 20:00 Spinning Huddle and complete all handover books (Product Handling and Wash Lab) to ensure clear communication between shifts. Candidate Requirements Computer literate. Warehouse experience Forklift licence – Pallet Truck experience Evidence of good verbal and written communication skills to fulfil Health and Safety aspects of the role.
