💼 About the Role
Heart Teaching is seeking a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to work across SEN schools in the Ashford area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with communication needs. You’ll deliver personalised interventions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support staff in implementing effective communication strategies.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
•
Assess and diagnose students with communication difficulties/disorders
•
Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes
•
Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation
•
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
•
Train and advise staff on communication strategies
•
Stay informed on current research and therapy best practices
✅ Requirements
•
BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
•
HCPC registration
•
Experience with SEN pupils and speech/communication challenges
•
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•
Organised, empathetic, and proactive approach
•
DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
