Description

This Trading Systems Data Specialist role provides essential support to proprietary trading applications and trading operations, performing technical troubleshooting, software deployment, configuration, and system monitoring in a dynamic trading environment.
What You'll Do
• Deliver seamless production support, software deployment, configuration, and proactive monitoring to anticipate and prevent issues
• Maintain and improve internal scripting and data extraction tools, including HTML parsing, regex/JSONPath data extraction, and frontend troubleshooting
• Provide technical support for proprietary trading systems deployed in a multi-platform production environment
• Deliver technical support during trading operations to resolve issues affecting mission-critical trading applications
What You Need
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an application support or development role
• Knowledge of fundamental networking principles (multicast, TCP, routing)
• Experience working in Linux or Windows environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common frontend concepts
• Ability to write, test, and troubleshoot regular expressions (regex) for parsing, validation, and data extraction
• Knowledge of browser development tools, DOM inspection, and web page structure to support scripting and data extraction tools
• Practical knowledge of JSONPath expressions, API integrations, and Docker containers
• Customer-focused approach and strong sense of urgency
• Ability to learn quickly and passion for new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and time constraints with composure
• Strong organizational skills including planning and priority management
• Availability to work rotating schedules (evenings/early mornings) as needed
Nice to Have
• Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
• Previous experience in financial markets or with financial trading applications
• Previous experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible
• Previous experience with monitoring suites such as Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana
• Previous experience maintaining web automation, data extraction, or frontend tools
