About the Role Wall Maintenance Specialists are responsible for the cleaning of the climbing walls at Bouldering Project. Individuals in this position will regularly work one to two times per week and occasionally more in preparation for events. Wall Maintenance Specialists are responsible for working safely and efficiently to prepare the climbing areas for routesetting rotations. They will also maintain in good condition all wall sections in the climbing area, as well as wash and sort climbing holds and volumes. Regular shifts are Wednesday and Sunday evenings 8pm - 11pm What You’ll Do • Remove modular climbing holds, volumes, tape, chalk, rubber, and detritus from climbing walls. • Safely use approved cleaning products and procedures to wash climbing surfaces, holds and volumes • Maintain clean and functioning climbing walls. • Wash and organize holds following directions of Head Setter • Organize and maintain Setting and Wall Maintenance supplies and tools • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Setting Shop • Follow closing/facility procedures. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Reliable, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision Essential Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to perform the essential functions of: • Working with power tools • Climbing ladders and comfort working at heights • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs • Must be able to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching • Ability to climb ladders and step stools Working at Bouldering Project At Bouldering Project, we aim to cultivate excitement for movement, belonging, and community. Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time, hourly position. Compensation is $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly DOE.
