Specialist Purchasing EMEA (direct material) (f/m/d)
We are looking for you as Specialist Purchasing EMEA (direct material) (m/f/d) to join our team in Ratingen with immediate effect – come and be part of our team!
Please note that this position is initially on a fixed-term contract of 12 months.
As a Specialist Purchasing EMEA (direct material) (m/f/d), you will be part of the Materials Management Team and will actively shape our procurement processes, driving our shared success through strategic acumen and a strong focus on negotiation.
Your scope:
You will independently manage procurement for specifically assigned product groups within the AM Trading Goods division
You will design and implement bespoke product group strategies in collaboration with the relevant internal stakeholders
Establishing commercial frameworks for the operational procurement units is also part of your remit
You will be responsible for preparing, conducting and following up on procurement negotiations
You will also ensure quality and partnership through continuous supplier development
You will continuously analyse the relevant procurement markets and identify potential new suppliers
You will manage KPI reporting to ensure transparent measurement of the success of your activities
What you bring to the table:
A successfully completed degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering or a technical discipline – or, alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship with relevant additional qualifications
At least 3–5 years’ relevant professional experience, ideally in strategic procurement or category management
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as sound user knowledge of SAP
Business-level proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of other foreign languages (particularly Chinese) is a welcome bonus
Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills and high levels of interpersonal competence
Intercultural understanding and a passion for working in an international environment
