SEND Tutor - Liverpool The Opportunity Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced SEND Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition and support to children and young people across Liverpool. We are looking for tutors who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of learners who require additional educational support. The role involves delivering personalised tuition that is tailored to each learners individual needs, helping them to re-engage with education, build confidence and make academic progress. Alongside the tuition element of the role, tutors may also support learners with developing key life skills, improving confidence, preparing for their future and helping them to reach their full potential. Due to the nature of the learners we support, applicants must have experience working with SEND students and a strong understanding of adapting learning to meet individual needs. Position Details Location: Liverpool Position: Specialised SEND Tutor Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible) Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications The successful SEND Tutor will have: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable) Experience supporting children or young people with SEND Experience working with learners who may be disengaged from education Strong knowledge of adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs A creative, patient and flexible approach to teaching Experience supporting learners with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, speech and language difficulties or other additional needs is highly desirable.
