Essential Job Functions • Identify, recruit, and train volunteer leaders, following all safety protocols and onboarding procedures to ensure appropriate training and background checks are completed. • Foster personal relationships with families and volunteers through one-on-one interactions, school visits, and active engagement in the community. • Connect with both new and existing families, offering support and resources tailored to their unique needs. • Oversee all ministry areas within the Special Needs Ministry to ensure programming is inclusive, effective, and aligned with church values. • Cast vision to parents about available resources, guiding them on how to engage their children with biblical teachings at home. • Ensure the ministry is running smoothly and optimally, achieving key ministry goals. • Create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for individuals with special needs to experience God’s love and grow spiritually. • Collaborate with the Campus Pastor to increase overall and special needs attendance on campus. • Lead and empower the ministry team to ensure goals are being met and resources are allocated appropriately. • Assist in planning and executing key church and department events such as Night to Shine, Dad/Daughter Dinner, Volunteer Appreciation, Easter, Christmas Eve services, Exceptional Stars, Special Needs Camp, and Kids Camp. Uphold the vision and mission of the Special Needs Ministry • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, volunteers, and church leadership. • Inspire and equip volunteers and staff to effectively lead within the special needs ministry. • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Rock system to manage attendance, check-ins, and volunteer scheduling effectively.
