Special Educator  Resource Room       Family of Kidz is hiring and has immediate openings! If you are looking to create yo ur own schedule and have a passion for helping kids, you’re in the right place!     Details about this opportunity: Location: Various cases around South Shore, Nassau County, NY Status : Part-Time, Fee for Service or Full time Potential  Hours:   Availability during school hours typically Mon-Fri. Follows school calendar  Specific session lengths depend on IEP mandates (e.g., 1×30 min, 5×45 min, etc.) Compensation:  $60/hour   **Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs. Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to support diverse learners Review, understand, and implement each student’s IEP mandates. Collect ongoing progress data and prepare quarterly progress reports. Maintain accurate session notes and submit documentation within required timelines. Communicate regularly with general education teachers regarding student needs, accommodations, and classroom strategies. Participate in CSE/IEP meetings as needed. Maintain professional communication with families, school administrators, and related service providers. Create a structured, supportive learning environment. Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom routines.
