Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill Are you looking for a rewarding career supporting children with additional needs? Protocol Education are recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in Ferryhill , supporting pupils aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning needs. The Role • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions. • Support pupils with communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs. • Promote positive behaviour through structured routines and visual learning strategies. • Assist teachers with engaging classroom activities. • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The Successful Candidate • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable. • An understanding of autism and associated learning needs. • Calm, resilient and positive approach. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Passionate about making a difference.
