Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill Are you looking for a rewarding career supporting children with additional needs? Protocol Education are recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in Ferryhill , supporting pupils aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning needs. Every day brings new opportunities to help pupils build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals. The Role • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions. • Support pupils with communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs. • Promote positive behaviour through structured routines and visual learning strategies. • Assist teachers with engaging classroom activities. • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The Successful Candidate • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable. • An understanding of autism and associated learning needs. • Calm, resilient and positive approach. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Passionate about making a difference.
