Description
Our Workers' Compensation team is growing and we're seeking a Paralegal to support our pod in Edison, NJ! At GGL we are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to clients who have been injured at work. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire of growing a legal career, are passionate about injured individuals and want to be a part of an amazing team environment! This is a full time, in-office position. You are required to be in person Monday- Friday. Responsibilities • Assist attorney and team in managing workers' compensation cases from intake through settlement. • Organize casefiles and ensure all documents are up to date. • Track case progress and deadlines to ensure compliance. • Maintain files in case database (Smart Advocate). • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide case updates. • Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments with clients, doctors, and medical experts. • Request authorization from the employer/workers’ comp. carrier for • Assist attorney with preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials. Qualifications • 1-2 years working experience, preferably in an office setting or legal office. • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office. • Fluency in the English and Spanish languages, both verbally and in writing, Required . • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills both written and verbal. • Ability to juggle multiple activities and maintain a professional demeanor. The anticipated base pay listed is a range, actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of our total compensation and competitive benefits package, which could include: discretionary bonus, 401(k), paid time off, and health benefits.
