• Assess the currents condition of any existing dumpsites in project areas; • Based on agreed urban development scenarios, and current volumes of solid waste generated, work with SWM specialist to develop short-, medium- and long-term projections for volumes of solid waste entering landfill sites; • Work with government, NGO and international environment and resettlement specialists to identify suitable alternative sites for new landfills if required; • C arry out technical due diligence on proposed landfills for feasibility, utility, relevance, criticality, impact, and operational sustainability . The due diligence should include a technical options analysis to ensure that the most technically feasible, cost-effective, socially acceptable, resilient/low-energy, low greenhouse gas emissions, and operationally sustainable landfill design is selected; The landfill design should also include any needed materials recycling facilities; • Prepare detailed plans and cost estimates for any required existing dumpsite closures; • Prepare preliminary engineering design and cost estimates for proposed landfills; At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
