Description
ABOUT PANORA Panora is building a suite of AI-powered agents for insurance brokers - a highly regulated and operationally complex industry. Our ambition is to become the AI Operating System for brokers in Europe: automating high-friction workflows while improving compliance, advisory quality, and client relationships. The product is already live with brokerage firms across France and Belgium, with AI assistants in production (quotation automation, contract comparison, coverage analysis, compliance checks, document generation…). Panora enables brokers to save hours every week, reduce analysis time by up to 70%, and focus on what truly matters: advising clients . Founded by Diane du Paty (ex-VC, operator) and Fabian Langlet (repeat founder, AI product engineer), Panora is backed by Hexa (Aircall, Spendesk, Front). We are entering a key phase of scaling and industrializing our AI platform. At Panora, AI is not a feature - it is the core product layer, deployed in real-world conditions with strong constraints on reliability, traceability, and compliance. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Software Engineer, you'll join a small engineering team working directly with Fabian (CTO & Co-founder) and Jeremy (Founding Software Engineer). You'll help build, improve and scale Panora's core product, turning customer problems into reliable features used every day by insurance brokers. Your work will sit at the intersection of: - Backend engineering - AI-powered product features - Data processing and integrations - Product development You'll have ownership over meaningful parts of the product while learning how to build robust software in a complex, regulated environment. WHAT TO EXPECT - You'll join an existing product already used by real customers. - You'll spend as much time improving existing systems as building new features. - You'll work with complex workflows, unstructured data and production constraints. - You'll own features end-to-end, from implementation to deployment. - You'll work closely with users, founders and the rest of the engineering team to continuously improve the product. RESPONSIBILITIES Build Product - Design, build and ship product features used daily by insurance brokers. - Improve existing workflows and build new ones across the platform. - Work closely with the founders to turn customer feedback into product improvements. Engineering - Build backend services, integrations and AI-powered workflows. - Write clean, maintainable and reliable production code. - Improve system quality, performance and observability as the product scales. Grow with the Team - Take ownership of features from idea to production. - Contribute to architecture and engineering best practices. - Help shape how engineering evolves at Panora. OUR TECHNOLOGY STACK Our stack is designed to build reliable AI-powered products. - Backend: TypeScript, Node.js - Frontend: React, Next.js - Infrastructure: AWS (serverless & managed services) - AI & Data: LLMs, document processing, AI workflows - Integrations: Microsoft 365, CRM, insurer systems You don't need experience with every technology. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, write high-quality code and solve real customer problems. WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a builder who enjoys shipping products and working closely with a small, highly collaborative team. - You've already had a first experience building and shipping production software in a startup or product-driven environment. - You're comfortable with backend development (TypeScript/Node.js or equivalent) and enjoy solving real engineering problems. - You've worked with APIs, cloud infrastructure or data-intensive applications. - You're curious about AI and excited to build products powered by modern AI systems. - You're comfortable joining an existing codebase and improving it incrementally. - You care about building reliable products th
