Your Mission: This Software Engineer role at Propeller will see you play a key part in building the foundational systems that power the Propeller platform. You’ll help create the capabilities that other teams build on top of, so your work will unlock value across the entire product. This includes foundational work spanning from storing, calculating and visualising different types of data on a 3D map, features that help organise data and collaborate with people, and internal services that are used by other teams to build features upon. You'll take ownership of a project from design through to release, ensuring you make and impact on the foundations that multiple teams rely on every day. You'll work across the stack, bring pragmatism and energy to ambiguous problems, and partner closely with engineers inside and outside the team to help them adopt the patterns you build. Your Responsibilities: Own foundational systems end to end - design, scope, build, test, ship, and maintain Operate as a versatile full-stack engineer, adapting to both backend and frontend requirements Team up with other squads to help them adopt the patterns and systems you build Tackle greenfield projects and ambiguous challenges with a big picture mindset and enthusiasm Review code, share what you know, and support other engineers Make use of AI tooling to speed up and sharpen your work
