Description
Overview Bring your passion for Android and iOS to help us develop a native GIS SDK that runs on mobile devices using modern tooling. You will be working with the mobile team to build out and enhance our current ArcGIS Maps SDK for Swift and/or Kotlin into a fully featured, production quality release. This is a great opportunity to design and develop next-gen Esri technology. We love making a difference and leading the way in developing innovative technology. Responsibilities Build and test iOS/Android apps that conform to industry best practices to test the APIs and ensure their quality Develop excellent software for use in field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and more Collaborate with developers, product engineers and product owners throughout the development process Assist the team in evaluating different areas of functionality and assessing the viability of adding new features Ensure that the product remains at the forefront of iOS and Android development patterns and paradigms Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences Requirements 1+ years of related software development experience Fluent in and passionate about iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin Possess object-oriented design skills Fluent in git source code management Understanding of algorithms and design patterns Ability to work closely with the team to build quality software in a constantly evolving environment Effective time management, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related field Recommended Qualifications Prior API development experience Knowledge of the other programming languages, including C, C++, and Dart Hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology Experience with JSON RESTful interface Experience with User interface design Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related field Total Rewards Esri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
