Description
As the Social Content & D2C Growth Supervisor, you’ll create culture-driving content, build innovative fan engagement strategies, and turn audience passion into meaningful direct-to-consumer growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a music lover and digital storyteller to make a real impact at the intersection of content, fandom, and commercial success.
What you'll do:
Official Account Operations & Matrix Account System Development
Tailor overseas music content for localized, platform-specific re-creation across Bilibili, Rednote, Douyin, and WeChat Channels, adapting to each platform's unique content ecosystem;
Conceptualize and produce highly engaging, shareable music content features (e.g., artist fun facts, song-ralated challenges, behind-the-scenes stories, etc.);
Participate in the planning and execution of original content projects such as artist and fan interviews, strengthening the accounts' exclusive content supply;
Lead the end-to-end development and operation of a music promotion matrix account system from scratch, expanding content distribution channels and formats while establishing differentiated account personas.
Public-to-Private Domain Traffic Funnel Design & D2C Conversion
Design and optimize end-to-end traffic funnels from public-domain exposure (social media reach) to private-domain destinations (mini-programs, WeCom/Enterprise WeChat, fan groups), ensuring clear user pathways and efficient conversion;
Drive D2C product (physical albums, limited-edition merch, offline events, etc.) seeding and conversion across social platforms, taking ownership of sales-oriented outcomes.
Data-Driven, Low-Budget Precision Promotion
Plan and execute small-budget, scaled paid promotion campaigns across major platforms (e.g., Dou+, Juguang, Rednote's Sponsored Notes);
Adopt a "do more with less" approach to precisely target potential audiences across J-Pop, K-Pop, and Western pop music fandoms, continuously testing and refining promotion models to maximize ROI.
Who you are:
Core audience of Western pop music, J-Pop, and K-Pop, with sustained engagement with the music industry ecosystem, fandom subcultures, and major industry charts—possessing independent music taste that extends beyond mainstream hits;
Possess basic music deconstruction skills—able to identify internet-friendly song segments and determine their optimal presentation formats (e.g., melodic hooks, production highlights, artist persona tie-ins, etc.), with a demonstrated instinct for music/artist marketing.
Proficient in PS (cover art, posters, etc.) and CapCut/Jianying (rapid editing); proficiency in FCP / Premiere Pro and AI content generation tools (e.g., Midjourney, Jimeng, Suno, etc.) is a strong plus;
Possess basic shooting skills and a solid aesthetic sense for visual composition.
Strong internet cultural fluency—an active, deep social media user skilled in storytelling, meme adoption, and meme creation;
Demonstrated creative content planning ability, capable of developing appropriate, high-potential content for Western artists while embracing experimental and innovative content formats;
Solid understanding of D2C products and D2C logic, with proven ability to design user conversion pathways from public to private domains;
Clear understanding of how to guide users from a single post or short video to search for the "Sony Music" mini-program and complete final conversion.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills—able to coordinate efficiently with internal teams as well as handle on-site external shoots and interviews;
Logical, execution-oriented, with a proactive learning mindset and a commitment to post-campaign review and iterative optimization based on data feedback;
English proficiency required; Japanese or other additional languages are a plus.
