Description
As a System Architect you will be responsible for system/product architecture development for microprocessor & microcontroller portfolio. You will work across hardware and software engineering teams to design robust solutions that meet the demanding requirements of power-efficient heterogenous computing, media processing, and communication in industrial and automotive segments. This role requires a deep technical understanding of MPU and MCU System, SW & HW architecture, Applications/Solutions Engineering, and system integration.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the definition and development of MPU & MCU system architecture, ensuring alignment with market trends and industry standards.
• Work with product marketing to understand customer requirements and use cases and translate them into detailed specification for Industrial IOT, Secure Connected EDGE Computing, and Automotive products.
• Define scalable and efficient computing architectures, including multi-core processing and memory hierarchy.
• Own key performance indicators for programs and drive optimization.
• Design and integrate security mechanisms, including secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, and trusted execution environments.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system-level integration of MCU components.
• Develop strategies to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and thermal management while maintaining reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to industry standards and drive innovation in MPU and MCU architectures.
• Define architectural guidelines, best practices, and documentation to guide product development teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 10 years or more relevant experience.
• Experience with use-case analysis and decomposition.
• Proven experience in microprocessor and microcontroller architecture, Software, SoC Architecture, and system-level integration.
• Strong understanding of microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, including CPU cores, DSP, memory management, and peripheral integration.
• Experience with system performance optimization, low-power design, and real-time processing.
• Familiarity with Linux, Zephyr, Free RTOS, or any similar operating systems.
• Familiarity with high-speed interconnects (e.g., AXI), memory architectures, and bus protocols.
• Strong collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams, including silicon, software, firmware, and board design engineers.
• Strong multi-national collaboration capability.
• Experience in product development processes.
