Description
The Small Works & Service Manager will oversee service delivery and minor project execution for an independent fire alarm installer based in West Sussex. This full-time, office-based position carries a salary of £50,000 to £55,000, supplemented by a car allowance, bonus, and benefits package. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder coordinates a compact team of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance meets client expectations. The role demands strong organisational abilities, commercial awareness, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Covering the South of England, including London, the position requires candidates living within a commutable distance of the office, situated between Horsham and the South Coast. Our client is an independent fire alarm systems installer and service provider based in West Sussex are looking to recruit a Small Works & Service Manager to join their operation that covers the Sout of England including London, this is an office-based role so candidates will need to live in commutable distance to the office which is located between Horsham and the South Coast. The successful applicant will support the Operations Manager in the delivery of service and small works, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency and commercial performance, as well as being responsible for coordinating a small team of engineers and sub-contractors to deliver planned and reactive maintenance and small works projects to the customers’ satisfaction. Candidates need to have experience working in the fire alarm industry in either a service managers role, or as a service supervisor, a strong technical background in fire alarm systems and excellent working knowledge of BS 5839 (ideally FIA or other certification), strong organization, communication and management skills, as well as being competent with IT, particularly MS 365. This interesting position comes with a basic salary of £50,000 (neg.) plus bonuses, car and package. An AAE of £55,000 is expected.
