Description
We're looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive, and well-established practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied caseload, values clinical freedom, and wants to be part of a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together.
The Role
• Permanent position
• 30–37 hours per week
• Four-day working week
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am–2:00pm)
• No out-of-hours or bank holiday work
• Salary up to £75,000 FTE , depending on experience
You'll be joining a collaborative team of experienced vets, RVNs, receptionists, and dedicated support staff. The practice promotes a positive, psychologically safe working environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute and develop.
Responsibilities
• A balance of consultations and surgical procedures
• Occasional sole-charge shifts
• Supporting and mentoring veterinary students during placements
• Delivering high standards of patient and client care
• Managing and working up your own cases with excellent clinical freedom
About You
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is:
• Experienced and confident in small animal general practice
• RCVS registered
• Comfortable with both consulting and surgery
• Happy with occasional sole charge
• Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
