Job Title: Regional Operations Manager (Industrial Water/Wastewater) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee on-site contract operations, technical performance, and regulatory compliance across our regional portfolio of industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will be the primary operational leader responsible for mentoring staff, driving safety cultures, and maintaining strict adherence to environmental and water quality permits. This is a dynamic, high-impact leadership role. You will balance hands-on technical oversight with strategic portfolio management—guiding project managers, developing team training programs, managing client relationships, and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Key Responsibilities Operations & Regulatory Compliance •Portfolio Oversight: Organize, direct, and manage all on-site contract operations teams within the assigned regional portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and 100% regulatory compliance. •Environmental Stewardship: Guarantee facility compliance with all local, state, and federal water quality permit requirements, managing environmental reporting, audits, and corrective action plans. •Process & Safety Leadership: Drive site-wide safety cultures, maintenance optimization, process control, and sustainability efforts. Act as the technical escalation point during facility start-ups or emergency operational situations. Team Development & Client Relations •Mentorship & Training: Lead comprehensive O&M training programs, conduct performance reviews, and implement structured professional development plans for regional staff and operators. •Client Partnership: Serve as the primary operational liaison with client management and technical personnel, monitoring client satisfaction, reporting on project status, and managing monthly contract service deliverables. •Financial & Administrative Management: Oversee regional budgets, track operational costs/savings, verify job-related documentation, and support business development and contract service expansion efforts. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications •Licensure: Active state-certified Industrial or Municipal Wastewater Treatment Operator License (Grade A/B equivalent). •Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or related degree preferred. •Experience Baseline: 6+ years of experience in an industrial or municipal water/wastewater treatment facility, including project management with technical and financial accountability. •Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity managing operations teams. •Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of industrial operations, fluid flow, process equipment, control instrumentation, SCADA software, and standard enterprise applications (Microsoft 365). Preferred Attributes •Proven ability to manage remote or multi-site operations effectively while maintaining high standards of virtual communication and accountability. •Strong business acumen—experienced in budget preparation, financial tracking, and client relationship management. •Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel regionally (~10%) for site inspections and client meetings.
