Site Engineer – Conservation Project Role: Site Engineer Location: Grange Castle Company Type: Main Contractor Salary: Competitive, DOE Job Type: Permanent Our client is an established mid-tier main contractor recently awarded a €6m conservation project in Grange Castle. running for approximately one year with a start date in early to mid September. The site is self contained with good access and plenty of space, set beside the canal and away from city traffic. They are recruiting a Site Engineer to report to the Site Manager and take overall responsibility for setting out on site. Responsibilities • Take overall responsibility for setting out on site • Ensure the building is set out and constructed exactly as per the construction drawings, reviewing drawings and specifications on an ongoing basis • Ensure quality of build and workmanship is up to standard • Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues to the Site Manager • Review subcontractor and supplier packages, attend prestart and weekly subcontractor meetings • Assist the Site Manager in managing civils and structural subcontractors • Notify the Site Manager, Project QS and Project Manager of any cost or delay issues immediately • Keep accurate records of design changes and prepare as-built records • Review the two week lookahead so works are planned and materials are on site in time • Order materials and arrange plant and staff as required • Support BCAR compliance and assist the Site Manager with QEHS Requirements • Proven Site Engineer experience with a main contractor • Strong setting out and survey control skills • Conservation, heritage or refurbishment experience an advantage • Able to read and work from construction drawings and specifications • Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements • Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications For further information on this role, please contact Colm Fitzpatrick, [email protected] , 0833730244 BSS will process the data you have provided to help us find you suitable employment and offer you opportunities to progress your career.
