Konecranes is committed to ensuring that all employees and job applicants are treated fairly in an environment which is free from any form of discrimination._ **Would you be our new Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer?** As a Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer, you will take on a key role in developing and deploying simulation environments across Ports Solutions organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that our product teams have access to high-quality, realistic, and maintainable simulation solutions that help accelerate product development, improve software quality, and reduce dependence on physical testing environments. In this role, you will develop and maintain simulation models and simulation environments using NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim platforms. You will create reusable simulation components, scenarios, and workflows that can be leveraged across multiple products and development projects. You will also build realistic operating environments that enable products and software to be tested safely and efficiently already during the development phase. Working closely with product teams, you will support the integration of control software, PLC applications, and external systems into simulation environments, enabling HIL and SIL validation through realistic and reliable virtual testing. In addition, you will contribute to virtual commissioning activities, helping teams validate and refine solutions in a simulated environment before they are deployed to physical equipment. At the same time, you will train and guide colleagues in the use of Omniverse and Isaac Sim technologies while contributing to the development of common simulation methods, processes, and ways of working across the organization. This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be employed by Biisoni and work on assignment at Konecranes. The role follows a hybrid working model and you will meet your colleagues at our Hyvinkää office at least once a week. However, especially during the initial phase, spending time on-site in Hyvinkää will be important to help you develop a solid understanding of our products, systems, and operating environment. The preferred start date is in September-October 2026. **What are we looking for?** To thrive in this role, you have a strong interest in simulation technologies and are motivated by building new solutions in a hands-on engineering environment. Your background may be in simulation, automation, robotics, software development, or a related technical field, supported by a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree. You have already gained a few years of experience working with industrial systems, product development environments, or simulation technologies and understand how virtual environments can be connected to real-world systems and equipment. You are comfortable working with Python and have a solid understanding of simulation technologies, development workflows, and software testing and validation methods. We expect some familiarity with digital twin solutions or HIL and SIL environments, and experience with simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, ROS2, or MATLAB/Simulink are considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC systems, system integrations, and version control practices will support your success in the role. Previous experience with OpenUSD concepts or simulation modeling is also seen as beneficial. Beyond technical expertise, we value a solution-oriente
