For more information, visit them at: https://www.segulatechnologies.com/en/ About the role SEGULA Technologies is looking for an experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineer to strengthen its engineering team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work with advanced durability simulations and fatigue evaluations of engine-related components, supporting the development of high-quality engineering solutions through finite element analysis. You will perform complex simulations, evaluate results, and provide technical recommendations throughout the product development process. Working closely with design engineers and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to method development, continuous improvements, and innovation within simulation and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while helping shape future simulation methods and technologies. Key Responsibilities • Perform advanced durability simulations and fatigue evaluations of engine-related components. • Develop, execute, and validate finite element models to support product development. • Analyze simulation results and provide technical recommendations based on design targets. • Plan, lead, and perform complex simulation and analysis activities. • Ensure the quality and accuracy of simulation models and analysis results. • Support project and design engineers throughout all stages of product development. • Contribute to the continuous development of simulation methods, tools, and engineering processes. • Drive innovation through collaboration with internal teams, universities, and external partners. • Support knowledge sharing by coaching and mentoring less experienced simulation engineers. • Contribute to project planning, technical estimations, and delivery according to project timelines. Qualifications: • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on simulation or a related discipline. • Approximately 8 years or more of relevant experience within simulation and analysis engineering. • Experience performing durability simulations and fatigue evaluations using finite element analysis (FEA). • Experience working with ANSYS Classic and APDL scripting. • Experience using ANSA for meshing. • Ability to work within a Linux environment. • Experience supporting method and tool development. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering interfaces. Desirable: • Experience with Python scripting for automation and efficiency improvements. • Experience supporting continuous improvements of simulation methods and engineering tools. • Experience coaching or mentoring less experienced engineers. • Experience leading complex simulation activities or technical projects. • Interest in driving innovation through collaboration with internal and external engineering networks.
