Location: Paso Robles, CA Company: Paso Robles Tank, Inc. Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour , depending on experience (DOE) Schedule • Monday–Thursday • 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. • Overtime and occasional Fridays or weekends as business needs require About Us Associated Construction & Engineering, Inc. is a leading heavy civil construction company specializing in water infrastructure, welded steel tanks, fabrication, and public works projects throughout California. We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Shop Maintenance & Electrical Technician to help maintain our shop facilities, equipment, and electrical systems while supporting daily operations. Position Summary The Shop Maintenance & Electrical Technician performs general facility maintenance, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, preventative maintenance, and shop improvements. This position helps ensure our shop, equipment, and support systems remain safe, operational, and compliant while working closely with mechanics, shop personnel, and management. Essential Job Duties • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shop buildings and facilities. • Troubleshoot and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems. • Install and repair electrical wiring, conduit, lighting, outlets, switches, breakers, and electrical panels. • Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and machinery. • Repair plumbing fixtures, air lines, compressors, doors, gates, fencing, and miscellaneous shop infrastructure. • Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects. • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other equipment safely (training available if needed). • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. • Track and maintain maintenance supplies and inventory. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests. • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of maintenance, electrical, industrial, or construction experience preferred. • Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems. • Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, and general facility maintenance is preferred. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Self-motivated with excellent attendance and reliability. • Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record. • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Preferred Qualifications • Commercial or industrial electrical experience • Preventative maintenance experience • Welding or fabrication experience • Forklift certification (preferred but not required) • Construction, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience Physical Requirements • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms. • Perform physically demanding work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Safely work around heavy equipment, machinery, and construction materials.
