Description
The Shipowner Representative (Assistant Manager) will serve as a key liaison between shipowners and ship management teams to ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration. Responsibilities will include overseeing operations, addressing concerns of shipowners, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Monitor the performance of vessels, providing regular reports on operational efficiency, technical and crew performance, and maintenance status. Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements between shipowners and service providers. Organize and participate in meetings with shipowners to discuss operational issues and performance improvements. Provide support in the management of budgets and financial forecasts related to ship operations. Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices while promoting a culture of safety among crews. Identify and implement strategies for operational improvements and cost efficiencies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on ship management or operations. Strong understanding of maritime regulations and practices. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
