Septic Truck Driver - Class A CDL Job Overview The Septic Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial septic truck to transport and dispose of septic waste. This role involves servicing septic systems, including pumping, cleaning, and inspecting septic tanks, and ensuring all activities comply with relevant regulations. Responsibilities • Drive and operate septic pump trucks safely and efficiently. • Ensure the truck is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. • Pump, clean, and inspect septic tanks and systems. • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on septic equipment as needed. • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. • Follow local, state, and federal regulations for waste transportation and disposal. • Maintain accurate logs and records of operations and maintenance activities • Interact professionally and courteously with customers. • Address customer concerns and provide information on septic system maintenance. • Complete and submit necessary paperwork, including waste manifests and service logs. • Report any issues or incidents to supervisors promptly. • Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to unpleasant odors and hazardous materials. Qualifications • Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for operating septic trucks. • Previous experience in septic system maintenance or a related field preferred. • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. • Capability to work in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and customer service skills.
