Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Senior VDC Associate to support the delivery of complex mission critical projects across the United States.
This role is ideal for an experienced VDC professional who thrives in a production-focused environment and enjoys leading projects from model development through coordination. You'll remain hands-on in Revit while partnering with project teams, contractors, and clients to produce high-quality, constructible models and shop drawings that support successful field execution.
What You'll Do
Produce and oversee detailed electrical Revit models and shop drawings for mission critical projects
Lead project coordination efforts, including clash detection, constructability reviews, and model resolution using Navisworks
Translate engineering design intent into coordinated, field-ready models supporting fabrication and installation
Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, contractors, architects, and design partners
Mentor and support junior VDC team members on modeling standards, best practices, and project execution
Coordinate RFIs, model revisions, and project deliverables while ensuring quality, accuracy, and schedule commitments
Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to resolve complex coordination challenges throughout construction
Qualifications
5+ years of professional VDC, BIM, or construction modeling experience
Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit in a production environment
Hands-on experience modeling electrical systems, including conduit, cable tray, lighting, equipment, and related systems
Experience producing construction models and shop drawings for contractor or fabrication workflows
Experience using Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination
Experience leading coordination meetings and driving multi-disciplinary project execution
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate design intent into constructible models
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of contractor-side VDC/BIM experience
Multiple mission critical or data center projects completed
Experience working for an electrical contractor
Autodesk Certified Professional, Revit (or similar certification)
Compensation
$100,000 - $130,000 + / year
Depending on location, experience, education, and skills
