What You’ll Be Doing
In this senior-level position, you will:
• Lead field survey operations and ensure safe, efficient and accurate delivery of work.
• Carry out utility and basic topographical surveys using EML, GPR, total station and GPS.
• Apply your strong understanding of EML techniques (direct connection, passive, induction).
• Deliver high‑quality data, drawings and reports in line with company and industry standards.
• Use and process GPR data using systems such as Stream DP, Stream C, DS2000 and IQ Maps.
• Manage multiple teams on larger projects and mentor junior surveyors.
• Communicate professionally with clients and represent company values at all times.
• Support continuous improvement through problem solving, innovation and best practice.
You will also play a vital part in ensuring quality control, data management, equipment care and commercial awareness across your projects.
You will be based from our office in Send and mainly working on project sites in and around London.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is not only technically strong but also dependable, proactive and highly professional.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience & Skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in utility surveying.
• Strong understanding of GPR and EML systems , their techniques and limitations.
• Proficiency in total station operation, grid positioning, coordinate systems and data processing.
• Experience with N4ce , including codelists, DTMs and transformations.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality 2D & 3D CAD drawings .
• Proven track record in complex environments such as Central London .
• Excellent IT skills with strong attention to data accuracy.
Qualifications & Training
• QCF/NVQ Level 5–6
• CSCS, Manual Handling, GPR Site Markout, EML Certificate
• NRSWA Units 2 & 10
• Project Management experience
• Working at Heights (desirable)
