Description
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you'll play a key role in executing clean, consistent, and scalable design solutions across a suite of digital products with varying levels of complexity. You'll own the end-to-end design process—from discovery and user research through high-fidelity prototyping and developer handoff—while collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. You'll champion user-centred design, contribute to the evolution of established design systems, and help deliver intuitive, accessible, and impactful experiences that meet both user needs and business goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Own end-to-end design for broker-facing products across your two squads — from discovery through to high-fidelity prototypes and developer handoff Keep the broker at the heart of every decision, and championing user-centred thinking across the squads you support Design within each product's established design system, extending its patterns thoughtfully so the experience stays consistent and coherent Partner closely with your Design Lead on direction and sign-off — bringing your ideas, talking them through, and aligning before work heads to development or stakeholders, so we stay joined-up across squads. You'll always have someone to think it through with Present clear design rationale to your Lead, Product Owners, BAs, and Engineers, and scoping solutions that balance user needs with real-world constraints Write clear, human UX microcopy for broker-facing features — empty states, error messages, and the small words that make a big difference Plan and run broker interviews and usability testing, and sharing what you learn with the team Keep communication open — flag blockers or changes early so we can help, because no one here is left to struggle alone Requirements At least 5 to 7 years designing digital products with complex logic and data flows, with a track record of shipping work through to launch Advanced proficiency in Figma including the ability to work with complex components, instances, auto layout, and prototyping without breaking or detaching elements while keeping Figma files clean and well-organised, and adhering to established design patterns Strong visual design and a sharp eye for detail and consistency Confidence working within an established design system and keeping its components coherent Strong UX thinking and user-centred problem-solving skills A pragmatic touch with UX writing and microcopy Strong visual design skills, attention to detail, and a good eye for quality Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to run stakeholder conversations, understand briefs independently, facilitate user interviews, and clearly explain your design thinking A strong portfolio showing your end-to-end process, from research through to shipped, developer-handed-off work Comfort in a fast-paced environment, juggling and prioritising across two squads to sprint cadence A self-starter who brings strong opinions and ideas — and is equally happy to take direction and feedback and run with it Reliable and straightforward to work with — can own commitments and are upfront when something hasn't gone to plan A collaborative team player with a warm, can-do attitude Advantageous Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related Experience using AI-assisted design tools, with good judgement on where they fit Experience with broker, mortgage, lending, or other B2B financial platforms
