Our Transportation Practice is hiring a Senior Transportation Project Engineer for a hybrid role based in our Quincy or Woburn, MA office. This position will  be responsible for the technical supervision of complex transportation projects and ensure the work performed conforms to the contractual scope of work, budget, and schedule.      Primary Responsibilities: Serves as the Technical Lead for the transportation components of more complex projects Responsible for the technical coordination among other design disciplines and subconsultants Leads the development of 3D roadway design models using AutoCAD Civil3D in accordance with MassDOT standards and workflows Oversees or prepares plan sets, special provisions, and cost estimates for roadway design projects Assists Project Managers in the following: Planning, coordination, and execution of both large and small projects Complying with assigned project schedules and budget on projects by actively reporting on project progress and identifying additional work outside the contractual scope Developing technical approaches, schedules, and fee estimates for proposals on large-scale or more complex projects to produce an effective and quality proposal Develops technical solutions for complex roadway projects by applying engineering knowledge and skills to produce quality work Maintains positive relationships with clients, Participates in developing the technical approach for proposals Supervises and trains less experienced staff by providing daily guidance and checks their work and progress; serves as a positive role model and mentor for junior staff Manages a direct report, including managing workload management, approving timesheets and expense reports, and guiding career path development Maintains quality control within the department by reviewing designs, calculations, and assumptions on projects Prepares for and performs oral presentations to the public, municipal boards, and clients regarding project deliverables, and to external associations and at professional conferences   What we're looking for: Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related Engineering discipline Professional Engineering License, or working towards licensure within one year, in a State(s) wh
