Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer – Hypersonic Systems Work Location: Huntsville, AL Schedule: Full Time on site (this position does not allow for remote work) Relocation: Negotiable IronMountain Solutions is seeking a highly experienced, mission-driven  Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer  to join our Engineering Services Division team in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Scalable Hypersonics Office (SHY) within Advanced Fires Project Office (AFPO). In this role, you will serve as a critical technical expert guiding the T&E lifecycle for next-generation hypersonic missile systems. You will bridge the gap between design engineering and real-world deployment, ensuring these critical national defense capabilities are survivable, reliable, and lethal. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of both Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E), with specific expertise navigating the unique thermal, aerodynamic, and telemetry challenges inherent to hypersonic flight regimes. Candidates must possess an active Secret Security Clearance. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.   Responsibilities Support PM test team to include : planning and executing Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), component and system level test programs, and test documentation. Test Strategy & Planning:  Advise and assist with developing suitable test requirements based on external shareholder expectations. Lead the development of comprehensive Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), detailed test plans, and data collection strategies tailored for hypersonic environments. Attend and provide feedback for Test & Evaluation Working-level Integrated Product Team (T&E WIPT) meetings, Combined Test Team (CTT) meetings, contract gate reviews, Technical Interface Meetings (TIMs), design reviews, and other test & technical meetings. Execution & Oversight:  Oversee and participate in ground testing (wind tunnel, thermal structural, hardware-in-the-loop) and flight test events at various national test ranges. Data Analysis:  Analyze complex telemetry, sensor data, and flight dynamics to evaluate system performance against strict engineering specifications and operational requirements. Review and adjudicate submitted Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) artifacts to include Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, and specifications. Defect & Risk Management:  Identify, document, and track system anomalies; collaborate closely with design engineers, software developers, and program managers to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Stakeholder Coordination:  Serve as a primary technical liaison between the engineering team, government program offices, test range authorities, and warfighter representatives. Engage with external T&E organizations including Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC), Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E), and Director, Development Test, Evaluation, & Assessments (D,DTE&A) Contract Support: Provide input to scopes of work (SOWs) to ensure appropriate test activities and CDRLs are incorporated. Reporting:  Author formal test reports, safety assessments, and executive-level readiness briefs to support milestone deployment decisions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership.
