Description
Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges before customers even notice them? Are you the engineer your colleagues turn to when production incidents require calm decision-making and deep technical expertise? And do you want to work on a platform that supports the pensions of millions of people? This is exactly the challenge you'll take on at Keylane. As a Senior Technical Application Engineer in our Lifetime Technical Application Management (TAM) team, you’ll take ownership of the stability, security, and performance of Lifetime, our powerful and proven pension administration platform for the Dutch and Caribbean markets. It supports a wide range of pension providers and schemes and is delivered as a secure SaaS solution from our private cloud, fully integrated into our customers’ technical landscapes through standard web services. In this senior role, you will: Taking the lead on complex incidents and acting as the technical escalation point for colleagues and stakeholders. Guard and improve platform uptime and resilience, implementing structural fixes and preventive measures for issues such as disk capacity problems, CPU bottlenecks and Tomcat outages. Manage the lifecycle of the underlying technology stack, including patching and upgrades for Windows Server, Oracle, SQL Server, Tomcat and related components. Manage the full lifecycle of client and server certificates, ensuring timely renewals, secure deployment and seamless coordination with customers. Deliver secure application integrations by supporting deployments, configuring web services, and coordinating network, security and whitelisting requirements and end-to-end validation.  Maintain a healthy and resilient platform by driving capacity management, monitoring and performance optimization across the application, middleware, database and infrastructure stack. Lead business-critical resilience and security activities, including disaster recovery and failover testing, penetration tests and external audits. Improve operational efficiency by automating recurring tasks through scripting, tooling and configuration management. Drive operational excellence by standardizing processes, maintaining runbooks and improving technical documentation. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, SaaS Platform, Database Administration, Security and customer stakeholders, to deliver reliable and secure services. Inspire and support your colleagues by mentoring junior engineers and actively sharing knowledge, best practices and technical expertise. Key about your team You'll be part of Keylane's Technical Application Management (TAM) organization, where we ensure our business-critical SaaS platforms are secure, stable and always available for our customers. Together, we: Deliver reliable SaaS services from our secure, ISO-certified private cloud. Support mission-critical platforms used daily by leading insurers and pension providers across Europe. Work alongside experienced specialists in Windows, Linux, databases, middleware, cloud operations, automation and security. Use proven, standardized processes for implementations, migrations, releases, patching and day-to-day operations. Continuously improve the way we work by embracing automation, standardization and knowledge sharing. Foster a collaborative culture where ownership, innovation and continuous learning are encouraged, and everyone has the opportunity to make an impact.
