Accenture Federal Services seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to oversee management, security, and optimization of a mixed Windows and Red Hat Linux environment hosted in AWS. This role requires an experienced technical leader who operates independently, guides junior administrators, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues supporting US federal government clients. What You'll Do • Administer and maintain Windows and RHEL systems across AWS, including server provisioning, patching, and compliance (STIG) implementation • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure infrastructure resilience • Oversee user and permission management including RBAC, Active Directory, ACLs, and implement privilege management best practices • Perform advanced troubleshooting, network analysis, and performance optimization within the AWS environment • Drive security hardening, documentation, and adherence to compliance frameworks; automate operational tasks using Bash and PowerShell What You Need • Active Secret clearance • Bachelor's degree • 5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience • Proficient in both Linux and AWS administration • Proven experience with security control assessment and remediation • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent required • On-site requirement: 5 days per week in Crystal City, Virginia Nice to Have • Experience with DISA STIGs, POA&Ms, and the ATO process • Ability to obtain SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) in addition to Active Secret clearance $78,600–$160,200 USD annually; benefits include health, dental, and professional development opportunities (detailed benefits information available on company website)
